Jay Gray
Like many of you my favorite team is out of tournament, and I can’t get any more points in the bracket so time to route for the underdog. I’m officially on the VCU band wagon. Ya gotta love their story; think about it they were one of those teams that everyone said how did VCU get in over Colorado and Virginia Tech. Before the tourney even started their best win was over UCLA, didn’t even win their conference tournament, and they had to win a plain game to get to the round of 64.
They are only the third 11 seed to ever get to a final four and the way they’ve been playing have a real shot to win it all. Of their 5 wins in the Tourney only one win wasn’t by double digits. They have outscored their opponents by 60 that’s good for an average margin of victory of 12 points. Just in case you were curious lowest seed to ever win a national championship was and 8, Villanova back in 1985. This year we are guaranteed to have either an 8 or 11 play for the national championship. Winner of the VCU Butler game gets the winner of UCONN and Kentucky.
Let’s go Rams
