The consensus has been that this week will be the best chance for the Jags to win a game in the last month of the season but this one could be tougher than most people think. The Jets D is great against the pass but really bad against the run. It’s not the best week for the Jags to be missing their top 3 running backs and we all know how much the Jags have struggled at home this year. with all that said here are the things the Jags will need to do to win two in a row at home.
STOP THE RUN
The Jags have been really bad against the run this year, they’re ranked 31st overall. The Jets issues at quarterback maybe the worst in the league so you can expect a heavy dose of Shonn Green this week. if the Jags can force the Jets into a bunch of passing downs they will do well.
BACKUPS STEP UP
The Jets D is in the top five against the pass but in the bottom five against the run. Like I said earlier the Jags maybe down to their 4th and 5th string running backs. This is a great opportunity for Montell Owens hopefully he can take advantage unlike Rashad Jennings did.
WIN THE HOME CROWD
The Jags have had a tough time getting the fans to cheer for them in home games this season. It will be even tougher if Tim Tebow plays but home field advantage can really sway a game. Jags need to get the fans involved early and often this week to make it even tougher on the Jets
