1 Dozen Losses

Previous Posts

By Jay Gray

It’s no secret what the Jags weaknesses are this season. They struggle on offense, they can’t stop the run, and they lose more often than not. This week was no different with the 24-3 loss in Miami.

The Jags gave up 180 yards on the ground, 104 of those were to Reggie Bush. While they didn’t give up a rushing score the team still struggled to stop the running game throughout the game. The two TDs the Dolphins scored came via Ryan Tannehill’s arm. He connected on one pass late in the 2nd and late in the 4th to put the game out of reach. The Jags offense again looked failed to play a full game. The first drive of the game resulted in a field goal but that was the only score of the game. The Jags actually found the end zone twice but neither of them counted. The first was a pass to Justin Blackmon that was called back when Guy Whimper failed to report as eligible. The second was a Cecil Shorts catch that was ruled a TD but after a review it was called back. Add that stuff to the fact that the Jags failed to convert two separate 4th and 1s and you can see why the team only put up three points.

The bad news is the Jags are guaranteed to finish with at least a tie of the worst season in franchise history. The good news is its obvious what the teams needs to work on in the offseason. Jus two game left and we can start talking draft and free agency.
