NBA All-Star Weekend

Previous Posts

By Jay Gray

As all-star games go I think the NBA has the best “weekend” of all the four major sports. It starts with the celebrity and rising stars games, goes to the slam dunk and three point contests, and finishes with the actual game. The all-star weekend comes up at the end of the month and will be in Orlando this year. The only thing I really think needs to change is the all-star voting. For how many years did Yao Ming get voted in as an all-star even though he was hurt or not playing well? This year is no different. In the West you could basically call team L.A., 4 out of the five starters are form the Lakers or Clippers. In the East it’s not quite as bad but Miami’s big 3 all made the game.  With all that said here are your all-star rosters

EAST

WEST

The game will be high scoring as always so it should be entertaining but I really think what everyone looks forward to is all-star Saturday when the slam dunk and three point contests are held. Those final rosters will be announced in the next few days. One thing we do know is defending champ Blake Griffin won’t be defending his title.
