After having a plea of guilty enter in for him yesterday Justin Blackmon gets sentenced to 50 hours of community service, he has to pay a $500 fine, and if he does that he will not have any jail time. Things worked out as well as they could for Blackmon but the question is now when will we see him in a Jags uniform.

I talked yesterday about Mojo being unhappy and probably not being in camp tomorrow but he has a totally different situation than Blackmon. Jones Drew can show up at any time, granted it’s a new offense but Mojo is a vet that shouldn’t need much time to learn it. Honestly missing some training camp might actually do Mojo some good. It may make him a little more rest toward the end of the season and the way the Jags have used him in the past he needs as much time off as possible. Blackmon on the other hand has to wait until he has a contract to step foot anywhere near Everbank Field. He’s a rookie that will need to adjust to the speed of the NFL and he has virtually no familiarity with Blaine Gabbert. The longer he holds out the long it will take him and Gabbert to get on the same page and the longer it will take the limping offense to get going.

Players report to camp tomorrow with the first practice coming on Friday so it leaves little time for the two sides to come together. We know how hard it’s been for the Jags to get first round picks on time but with a new owner and coach we hoped that would change. So far it hasn’t yet but it’s not over yet. As long as Blackmon gets in here by the end of the weekend the Jags will be fine. If it goes to the first preseason game without Blackmon the Jags will be in real trouble.
