UnBEARable To Watch

Previous Posts

Three home games and three blowouts. The most resent was on Sunday with the 41-3 loss to the Bears, you knew with the way the Jags looked last week and the way the Bears looked last week that this was a possibility but there was hope after the first half. The game was tied up at 3 going into the break before the Bears rattled off 38 straight points. The Jags have now been outscored 95-20 in home games this year but this one is by far the worst.

Bad game all around for the jags but let’s look at the offense first. They only managed 3 points and only 189 yards of offense. Not to mention two picks were run back for TDs. On D the Jags gave up over 500 yards of offense to the Bears. Forte had over 100 yards rushing and Marshall had over 100 receiving. That’s two straight weeks jags gave up a 100 yards receiving to one guy. One phase they did well in was special teams. Scobee accounted for all the jags points but more important they held Devin Hester in check so heading into the bye they have one positive thing to look that.

It’s one of those over used sports terms “the bye week couldn’t come at a better time” but for the Jags it’s really true. They haven’t shown any signs of improvement over the past few weeks. You could make the case that they are getting worse every week. The one glimmer of hope for Jags fans is that the Jags won’t lose this weekend. No seriously, the upcoming games for the Jags don’t look as tough as we though during the beginning of the season. The Raiders, Packers, and Lions all look like they are beatable. The only way that happens if the Jags use this bye week wisely and fix all the issues.
