I’m so tired of talking injuries so just a quick update and then we will move on to the Packers. Blaine Gabbert took reps at practice yesterday so depending on his pain level he should be good to go. He’s not out of the woods yet and if I was in charge I would give him off this week but he may be out there for every snap this week.
On to the Packers, it’s been a roller coast season for these guys. At the begining of the year we all figured the Jags had no chance this game. A couple games in it looked like the Pack weren’t as good they once were. Now they are back to form and to quote Dennis Green “they are who we thought they were”. The Packers are only 1 game over .500 after losses to Seattle, Indy, and a 1 point win over a then winless Saints team. Now they look like they’ve figured it out. They demolished a Super Bowl favorite in Houston then a win against a stingy Rams team. Green Bay is rolling and the Jags are limping into their home turf.
For most opponents you could say if the Jags played a perfect game they may be able to win. This week perfect might not be good enough for the Jags to win in Green Bay. They are going to need to play a perfect game and then get a little lucky if they have any chance this week. sad to say but if the Jags don’t get blown out they can take that as a win and a moral victory to build on for the rest of the year.
