You might be surprised to know the Jags actually play pretty well against the Packers in history. Sure it’s a short series but the Jags are 2-2 against the Pack including winning the past two in a row. With all that being said it’s going to be really tough for the Jags to come away from Green Bay with a win. Green Bay is starting to find there groove while the Jags are finding the training room. With Gabbert banged up and MJD out the Jags will need to be perfect then get a little lucky to come away with a win. Here is what they need to do to get the second victory of the year.

Protect Gabbert

We know he is banged up and we know how poor the offense looked when he left last week so the goal has to be keep him healthy against a stingy Packers D. he needs time in the pocket and can’t take too many hit because he is already in pain and will be thinking about the shoulder all game long.

Control the Clock

Green Bay can score at will so the Jags will have to keep their offense off the field as much a possible. That means long drives with a big running game from Jennings. Most importantly the drives have to end in touchdowns. A field goal battle won’t work against the Packers.

Create Turnovers

The best offense is a good defense. The Jags D needs to help out themselves and the offense by creating short fields and keeping Aaron Rodgers on the bench for as much as possible. You can’t score if you don’t have the ball.
