Another gorgeous day, warm afternoon temps in the low 80's. A nice start to the weekend, but Saturday could be stormy.
Our Top Local Story: Could Florida's economy be crippled by a reform of immigration laws? Business groups, led by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, are fighting a bill that would curb illegal immigration. They argue it would hurt tourism and reduce tax revenues. The Chamber says Florida is different than Arizona, and that we depend on foreign visitors and trade, as well as immigrant workers.
The right to assemble will be on display at the Landing tomorrow night when the First Coast Tea Party holds its annual tax day rally. Governor Rick Scott is expected to headline the free event at 6:30pm.
A 91 year-old woman with dementia has no idea that her son and another man are growing pot inside her San Jose home. Randy Burnett and Martin Weinberg were busted by the DEA yesterday.
New discrimination claims at the Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Department. A lawsuit accuses the city and fire union of preventing black firefighters from being promoted. The union boss was shocked to hear of the lawsuit, saying they've been working hard the last few years to resolve the deep divisions.
Someone who hit and killed a bicyclist in St. Johns County is still on the run. The biker was hit on County Road 214 yesterday.
Our Top National Story: Tax revolt. Republicans are vowing to fight the President's plan to increase taxes on people making more than 250-grand a year. It's part of his plan to cut $4 trillion from the deficit in 12 years or less. Obama ripped Republican ideas to cut spending. Republicans call the tax hike idea a "non-starter".

Are you fairly taxed?? It's a fresh question being asked, after the President called for a tax hike for the rich. A poll by the AP finds just 29 percent of Americans supporting a hike in their taxes. 62 percent favor cutting government spending.

Another air traffic controller asleep at the switch. This time it was a medical plane that was trying to land at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The FAA is adding a second controller during the overnight hours at 27 airports.
