Intense heat and humidity continue. We're in the mid to upper 90's again today. By tomorrow it's the low 90's.
Jacksonville Police say a girl who had been reported missing Sunday from her southside apartment has been located safe. The 11 year-old is reported by police as a runaway.
Irene is gone but the cleanup from her damage is just getting started. It could be days, and maybe weeks, before power is restored to millions of people in several states.
Hurricane Irene has left at least 22 people dead and caused an estimated billions of dollars in damages across the east coast. But the devastation is not as bad as many expected. Flooding is widespread in Vermont and hundreds of people in the capital have been told to evacuate.
42 volunteers with the JEA are heading north to help in the power restoration.
New York's three main airports plan to resume most flights and the city's subway service will be partially restored. Airports in Philadelphia and Washington are open and Boston's transit system is reopening. So are Atlantic City casinos.
Flights out of Jacksonville to Boston, New York, Newark, Washington are cancelled through the early afternoon. By this afternoon and evening everything appears to be back on track.
The President is still on red alert over the impacts of Hurricane Irene. Obama says Irene is not over because of power outages and flooding. Leaders of FEMA say they're up to the job but history shows us anything, political issues could get involved. See the story in Jamie Dupree's blog at WOKV.COM.
Even with thousands of power outages in the greater Washington area, federal workers are expected to be on the job today. Damage in the nation's capitol was pretty minimal.

Gasoline prices have remained steady over the past two weeks. The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices puts the average price of a gallon of regular nationwide at $3.61. Hurricane Irene could have an impact on gas prices.
Eight people at a football scrimmage had to be taken to a hospital -- not players, but spectators. They were watching the scrimmage at Raines High School when they were overcome by the heat. All are expected to be okay.

At least 11 people are shot in a Brooklyn neighborhood. Sheriff John Rutherford says two pregnant women and an 18-month-old child are among those shot. The 18-month-old child is in critical condition. One of the pregnant women lost her unborn child in the shooting. The shooting happened on Spruce Street near the Prime Osborn Convention Center.
