We'll turn sunny and windy today and not as warm with a high in the mid-70's. Temps fall 10 degrees tomorrow, mid 60's, then rebound to the mid-70's for the weekend, when it'll be dry.
Our Top National Story: At least four people have been killed and dozens more injured in violent storms across the southeast. While you were sleeping severe thunderstorms raked across the First Coast--no reports of damage here. Suspected tornadoes were reported Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and South Carolina. Dozens of homes and buildings were damaged and thousands of people were without power as trees and power lines were downed.

Talks between the City of Jacksonville and its police union break down again. The Times-Union reports pay cuts and pension issues continue to be the main sticking points. The city dropped its pay cut offer from four-percent to three-percent, while the union is offering a two-percent cut over two years.
It could have been a lot worse for a four-year-old Arlington girl. Police say she was playing with a loaded weapon when it went off, firing a bullet into her foot. She's hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Looks like negotiations for a plea agreement may be falling apart in the case of the youngest murder suspect in Jacksonville history. The public defender representing 12 year-old Cristian Fernandez says he will not accept the state attorney's offer of a second degree murder guilty plea. Fernandez is accused of killing his 2 year-old brother.
Jacksonville Police are searching for a gunman who's now accused of killing two people in a Regency double shooting. Investigators are also identifying the victims as 42 year old Richard Barley and 40 year old Kelli Daidone. They were targeted on Tuesday on Spivey Terrace.
A new focus in the Solyndra investigation, as Energy Secretary Stephen Chu is in the hot seat today to answer questions about the controversial loan of half a billion dollars. Jamie Dupree has a copy of Chu's opening statement in his blog at WOKV.COM.
With gridlock the name of the game on jobs, we find Senator Marco Rubio teaming up with Democratic Senator Chris Coons on a jobs plan that he says both sides can agree on.
You Decide 2012: New polls in the GOP race are hammering home the surge for Newt Gingrich. A Fox News poll has Gingrich barely ahead of Mitt Romney, followed by Herman Cain. Gingrich is in Jacksonville today for a 2pm event at The Landing. It's free and open to the public.
Gingrich is on the defensive over the big money he got as a consultant for Freddie Mac. The Washington Post reports Gingrich made more than $1.5 million over several years as a consultant. Gingrich says he did no lobbying of any kind, he simply provided strategic advice for several years.
Penn State campus police and their counterparts in State College say they have no records of Mike McQueary reporting an alleged sexual assault by Jerry Sandusky on a 10-year-old boy in a campus shower in 2002. The details run counter to McQueary's claims in an e-mail to former teammates that he had discussions with police about what he saw. A lawyer representing one of Sandusky's alleged victims says the boy is ready to testify...and that other accusers are coming forward.
