A warm start to the week with temps in the low 90's today, partly sunny skies.
Tropical Storm Maria is moving away from the northeastern Caribbean islands with little change in strength forecast.
The storm is centered about 165 miles north of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is moving northwest near 9 mph. Accuweather's Heather Zehr says Maria should not be a problem at all for Florida and the rest of the U.S.

Our Top National Story: You Decide 2012 lands in Florida, as the 8 GOP Presidential candidates share the stage in Tampa for a debate on CNN tonight at 8pm. This comes on the heels of last week's debate at the Reagan Library that featured Rick Perry and Mitt Romney picking eachother apart.

Just days after a fiery address to a joint session of Congress, President Obama will deliver his 447-billion-dollar jobs bill today. He will call for swift passage in a Rose Garden address, in which Obama will be joined by teachers, police officers and firefighters. Obama will travel across the country this week to drum up support for his bill, which is already getting a lot of resistance from Republicans.
Today is the day the ground zero memorial to Sept. 11 officially opens to the public, moving beyond the need to mourn and into homage to the memories of the nearly 3,000 people killed. Broken shards, smoke and bodies have been replaced by oak trees and sparkling waterfalls and the names of the victims.
Even with extra-tight security, the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks had a couple of tense moments. Fighter jets escorted two commercial jets to airports —- one to New York City and another to Detroit. In both cases, passengers' use of the bathrooms aroused suspicions. All the passengers were cleared.
The Secret Service is investigating three threatening messages posted on the White House's Facebook page. The messages included a picture of Osama bin Laden and threatened another terrorist attack on the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
Another singer butchers the national anthem...in New York...the day before 9/11. Cyndi Lauper's performance at the U.S. Open Saturday. She sang "O the ramparts we watched, as our flag was still streaming". It was the same line that Christina Aguilera botched during this year’s Super Bowl.
Our Top Local Story: A high school principal from Orange Park is arrested on DUI charges, even though he blew a 0.0 on a breathalyzer. 60 year-old Mark Westmoreland was arrested Friday night after his vehicle was swerving in and out of his lane on Blanding Blvd. Results of a urine test are still pending.
Mandate a review of the city's pension system -- or keep all city jobs intact. That's the focus of a battle brewing between the city council and Mayor Brown. The council is proposing 33 cuts -- including 16 jobs -- to help pay for an actuarial review of the city's pension system. Brown's budget calls for a delay of that review in exchange for keeping all jobs and services intact.
A man is shot dead outside a St. Augustine pub. St. Augustine Police say 29-year-old Paul Crookshank got into an argument with a friend outside the Giggling Gator Pub, and the friend shot him.
An infant is seriously hurt in an early-morning house fire near Edgewood park on the northwest side. The fire started early Sunday at Detroit and 9th streets. A woman who lives next door says the mother was throwing her children out of a window so that they could escape the fire.
A Jacksonville woman being carjacked on Baymeadows Way fights back. Police say as Aquarius Belton forced his way into the woman's car, she laid on the horn. They say Belton then ran off, led police on a chase through the Baymeadows area and was tracked through the help of a police dog to a Dumpster on Bayberry Way.
A strong start for the Jaguars, beating the Titans 16-14 at Everbank Field. Maurice Jones-Drew had a touchdown run early and Josh Scobee booted three field goals. The Jags up to New York to take on the Jets Sunday.
