Another warm afternoon with temps in the upper 80's. We could see a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Warm weather continues through the start of the weekend with better chances for rain on Thursday and Friday.

Our Top Local Story: Keeping the embattled JEDC going...Mayor Alvin Brown is steering nearly $1 million to keep the economic development organization afloat through the fall. The Times Union reports city ordinances allow the Mayor to have up to $750-thousand in a contingency fund he can use without council approval. The Mayor just last week introduced a plan to reform JEDC, shifting its focus to a downtown organization.
NBA Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore just landed a new job with the city of Jacksonville. He's joining the Mayor's sports and entertainment team as the Ambassador for sports, entertainment and physical fitness. Jacksonville University Athletic Director Alan Verlander was named director of sports and entertainment, and he's going to be the fourth highest paid city employee-making nearly $180-thousand.
At least five people are hurt when a small plane crashes into the Publix in Deland. Witnesses described seeing the small plane sputter, hit the building and burst into flames around 7pm Monday. Two people on the plane suffered burns.
We'll be in attendance when the Chief of Naval Operations visits Jacksonville today. Admiral Jonathan Greenert is touring Naval Station Mayport, and is expected to talk about the future of the Navy at a luncheon. We'll let you know what he has to say during Rush and Sean this afternoon.
Imagine learning your child is left alone on the school bus for an hour and a half. Lena Roman just lived through that nightmare. Her 3 year-old was finally discovered by the Nassau County school district transportation department. The director tells our news partner Channel 4 he was very surprised this happened because drivers are supposed to walk through the bus before they get off. The driver and an aide were suspended five days without pay.
Our Top National Story: A trio of primaries in You Decide 2012, the biggest haul is Wisconsin. Mitt Romney is aiming for a triple victory in Maryland, Washington D.C. and the Badger State.
President Obama says he's confident the Supreme Court won't overturn his health reform plan--saying it would be unprecedented. But Republicans say the President went too far. Congressman Lamar Smith says this comes awfully close to intimidation.
Kentucky wins its eighth national men's basketball championship, beating Kansas 67-59. Fans celebrated with some violence. Police arrested dozens of people. Fires were set to sofas and at least one car.
Witnesses say he was shooting like crazy. Cops in Oakland, California say they don't know why a man walked into a small Christian university and opened fire yesterday, killing seven people and wounding three. Police identify the alleged shooter says 43-year-old One Goh (wahn goh), a former student at Oikos University.
One of the people claiming to have won the Mega Millions jackpot may be facing some trouble at work. The Maryland woman bought tickets for a workplace pool. Her colleagues at McDonald's claim they're winners too. The woman says she spent her own money on the ticket. She declined to show a reporter her winning ticket and so far she has not claimed her share of the winnings.
