Tebow booed

Sunny and warm to start the week.  We'll have temps in the low 80's through Wednesday, when we start to track rain and thunderstorms.  Temps stay in the low 80's throughout the week.

Today's interview lineup:

At 6:23 hear reporter Russell Mills in Woodward, Oklahoma, the site of all confirmed fatalities from the weekend severe weather outbreak.

At 6:53 hear Jamie Dupree explain whether this week's Congressional hearings on lavish spending by the GSA may not bring about major changes.

At 8:23 hear Jamie Dupree preview Neal Boortz and Herman Cain's Washington visit to push for reforming the tax code.

Our Top Local Story:  Holding a gun in front of police is the last move a woman in St. Augustine made.  Andrea Sheldon was shot dead by St. Johns County police, who were called to a domestic disturbance at her home.  When she didn't drop the shotgun police opened fire. Her husband, Richard Sheldon, is reportedly a firefighter with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.  Cops were called to the home Saturday for a domestic dispute involving weapons.  FDLE is now leading the investigation.

Mutilated cat remains discovered in Orange Park.  Residents at the Holly Cove Apartments made the greusome discovery  Saturday.  Clay County police believe the mutilations were done by people and not animals.  But so far no one has been arrested.

An arrest in a deadly hit and run crash in Jax Beach.  Cops arrested Jose Mendez hours after the woman was hit on Third Street South Sunday morning.  Mendez is charged with DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

Shoppers running for cover when a car crashes through the front of a Publix in Palm Coast.  Ten people were hurt in Saturday's crash.  Two suffered serious injuries.  The 76 year-old driver apparently hit the gas instead of the brake.  Cops are still investigating the crash.

Tim Tebow, booed at Yankee Stadium.  The new backup quarterback for the Jets heard jeers Sunday night when he was shown on the big video board--even though he was wearing a Yankees cap.  Tebow cracked a smile and acknowledged the camera.

A St. Johns County Sheriff's Deputy is in critical condition after he's hit by a car during an event in Ponte Vedra Beach.  Deputy Greg Dubowsky had pulled a driver over for disobeying a traffic direction from another officer.  After that, he proceeded south on A1A to catch up with the rest of the police escort.  As he was driving, he was hit by a Fiat that was pulling into the roadway.

Updating the police shooting Waycross that was breaking news Friday. Family and friends of Andrew Poole held a march Sunday, demanding the officers involved be put in jail.  The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Waycross police were searching for a murder suspect when the officer found Poole--apparently felt threatened--and opened fire.  Family members tell our news partner Channel 4 Poole was not armed, and was simply lying in bed.  He is still recovering in the hospital.

Our Top National Story:  A culture of wasteful spending by the General Services Administration, the real estate agency for federal buildings, comes under scrutiny at four congressional hearings this week. The federal agency spent more than $800,000 for a conference in 2010 at a Las Vegas resort.

President Obama is fighting off the cloud of an embarrassing Secret Service scandal.  Eleven agents are accused of hiring prostitutes while in Colombia.  Obama says the agents should be held to the highest of standards.  The agents are on administrative leave as officials investigate.

There's a proclamation from the governor and other remembrances today, but the 28,000 students at Virginia Tech will mainly mark the fifth anniversary of the 2007 campus massacre by attending class.  Provost Mark McNamee says the return to classes reflects the lives of the 32 people slain. Classes were suspended for previous anniversaries.
