The reported confession of a 12-year-old murder suspect is thrown out of court.  It was a victory for Cristian Fernandez and his defense team.  Judge Mallory Cooper ruled in their favor, saying Cristian could not have understoood that he waived his Miranda rights as Jacksonville Police questioned him about the death of his 2-year-old brother David Galarraga and later the sexual assault of a 5-year-old half brother.  Assistant State Attorney Mark Caliel says they'll have a decision on a possible appeal by Monday.

Part of a long culture of acceptance.  A review of Florida State College at Jacksonville's financial aid problems will be no easy fix.  An independent investigation finds the financial aid office is understaffed, using outdated technology and facing organizational problems that led to issuing pell grants that hsould have never won appeal.  The FSCJ board will soon hold a workshop to figure out exactly where to go with the recommendations.

Hundreds of people gathered in southeastern Wisconsin to remember the six Sikh worshippers who were fatally shot at their temple.  Attendees held candles and prayed for the victims, remembering them as peaceful individuals dedicated to their families and faith.  Police Chief John Edwards told the crowd that such incidents often prompt anger and calls for revenge, but he says he was struck by the peaceful reaction of the Sikh community.

With just a few days before the primary election, a Duval judge will decide if the current clerk of courts can even run for re-election.  Jim Fuller is fighting to serve a fourth term, saying a Supreme Court ruling on term limits does not apply to him.  The judge is expected to decide in the coming days. Fuller says he'll abide by the court's decision.

A five-year-old boy remains in critical condition after being run over and dragged by a slow-moving car.  It happened Saturday night at a Regency apartment complex off of Monument Road.  Jenoa Alford was dragged for eight parking spaces.  We're still unsure if the driver will face charges.

Still no word on charges for the guy who tried to trade a baby for food at a motel in Orange Park.  We first told you during Neal Boortz yesterday the three month-old was found safe with his mom at a Jacksonville motel.  Police say the mother was staying at the same motel where the "trade" was offered Saturday.
