Be prepared for possible delays because a thick blanket of fog has settled over the area.  Visibilities are down to an eighth of a mile in spots.  The fog is expected to stick around through at least 8am but could linger in spots through 10am. 

Severe storms rake across the heartland, and we are hearing reports that Branson, Missouri had a tornado touch down, leaving structural damage and building collapses.  At least 9 people are hurt in Kansas.

Our Top National Story:  Mitt's momentum...Romney heads into next week's Super Tuesday with primary wins in Michigan and Arizona. Romney didn't win by a lot but he says he won by enough and that's all that counts.  Rick Santorum fared well in several Michigan counties.  Santorum moves on to Tennessee, one of 10 states to vote next Tuesday. 

A big get for both parties--Republican Senator Olympia Snowe is not running for re-election in Maine this year.  She says politics has become to polarizing and she doesn't expect it will change in the short term.

The coast guard says one crewmember is dead, three others are still missing in a helicopter crash in Alabama.  It went down in a training mission in Mobile Bay.  The three missing are Coast Guard members.

Some chilling 911 calls from Monday's school shooting near Cleveland.  The alleged shooter, TJ Lane, is arrested and is awaiting charges.  Three people are killed and two others hurt in the shooting, which police say was random.

We're watching your money on Wall Street.  The Dow finished above 13,000 for the first time since the meltdown in 2008. 

You trust that your kids will be taken to school safe every day.  But we find several kids left at the bus stop, in the rain, apparently because of the Daytona 500.  Student Transportation America had a contract to provide shuttle service for the race, which was postponed.  Parents of children at Abess Park and Alimacanti Elementary Schools near the Intracoastal report many of their kids didn't make it to school before first bell.  The bus company faces a fine by the Duval County school district for the snafu.

We hear talk of going overtime in Tallahassee which could cost taxpayers up to 40-grand a day.  Budget negotiations are apparently breaking down, days before the legislative session is expected to end.  Capitol Reporter John Kennedy with our partner the Palm Beach Post says the redistricting issue seems to be a big holdup.  Candidate qualifying is in early June so time is of the essense to get the new lines drawn.

50 jobs may be lost at JIA.  The news coming after the Air Force backs out of a 355-million-dollar contract to build the A-29 Super Tucano plane there. According to the Times-Union, the Air Force says it's taking a new look at the contract after discovering problems with how it documented the previous contract decision.

With time running out for the St. Johns River Ferry, a new City Council committee is set to meet to explore ways to save it.  The meeting will be at four  tomorrow afternoon at City Hall. Jaxport voted earlier this week to end the ferry on September 30th, saying it can no longer financially support the service.

Crime scene tape went up around the Girl Scout's headquarters on the Westside, after white powder spilled out of a package.  This prompted the evacuation of the Jacksonville and Gainesville offices for the Girl Scouts. Jacksonville Police say no one appears to be in any physical distress, but they are taking precautions.
