A gorgeous start to the weekend today with sunny, warm conditions and a high in the low 80's.  Tomorrow we'll see some showers and a thunderstorm in the afternoon, which will bring in cooler air for Sunday and the start of next week.  We'll go from the 80's to the 60's.

It's a worrisome outlook for more severe weather in the Midwest. Forecasters say the focus today is on portions of Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.

At 7:10 hear Andrew Greenstein update breaking news of a shooting at an East Arlington home. 

At 7:53 hear tournament director Matt Rapp on the construction of a small city at TPC Sawgrass for The Players.

At 8:23 hear Jamie Dupree update new polling in Washington and Ohio that show Santorum falling. 

Our Top Local Story:  Shocking and disturbing evidence in the Somer Thompson murder case.  We're hearing the killer Jarred Harrell for the first time as he describes how the 7 year-old died and he dumped her body.  Somer's mom Diena says she just wants to scream.  She's reading all of the information to prepare herself for a slew of questions from the public. 

A follow up to yesterday's top local story on the trio of boys who admitted chucking rocks off the I-10 overpass on the westside, injuring at least one driver.  15 year-old Brandon Padgett made a public apology.  He and two other boys are under house arrest and facing felony charges of throwing a deadly missile.

No one is hurt as an Oceanway church catches fire.  Pastor Matthew Meadows tells our news partner Channel 4 no one was inside the New Berlin Road Church at the time.  He says it appears the fire was electrical and started in the sound booth where they keep A/V equipment.

We'll be watching Tallahassee for an update to an abortion debate that's simmering.  The House just passed the 24 hour waiting period before women can get abortions.  It's unclear if the Senate will even take it up, though.  The Senate President says it's not in a position for a floor vote.

Expect legal challenges once Governor Scott signs the deal on "inspirational messages" at public school events. Supporters say it keeps student in charge of whether, and how, to deliver prayer and messages of inspiration.

More than 250 sailors are coming home this weekend.   The USS Carney returns to Mayport Sunday after seven months overseas.

Our Top National Story:  It's going to be a busy weekend of campaigning ahead of Super Tuesday.  Most of the candidates are in Washington state, which holds its primary Saturday.

One freshman at Chardon High School in Ohio says he's scared for everybody and wonders how his fellow students will react on the first day of class since a shooting Monday killed three teens. Today also marks the start of a series of visitations and funeral services for the slain students.

The future of Breitbart.com without Andrew Breitbart is a big question following his sudden death.  Breitbart recently claimed he had politically damaging videos of President Obama from his early days.  Breitbart was 43.

A bomb scare at Rush Limbaugh's Florida home.  Turns out the suspicious package was not dangerous.  It was an electronic plaque sent by a listener, concerning the assassination of President Lincoln.
