Sunny and warmer today but a gusty wind at times will make it feel cooler.  Temps are in the low 70's.  You'll notice a gusty wind most of this week.  It stays dry and temps are in the upper 70's by the end of the week.

Our Top Local Story:  A mom's drug habit appears to have led her to sell her 6 year-old for sex.  Police in Jacksonville Beach arrested Dalina Nicholas and two middle-aged men in connection with the crack cocaine deal.  The mother is in jail in Columbus, Georgia, she will be brought back to town this week. 

He admits to killing his wife.  Cops in Jax Beach say Michael Morris shot his wife Barbara during an argument over petty things.  She died in the couple's home and the husband is now in jail. 

A two-year-old girl drowns in an Arlington swimming pool. A neighbor was performing CPR on the girl when paramedics arrived.  She was rushed to Shands, where she later died. Police say her mother was home at the time.

Our Top National Story:  The death toll now stands at 39 following the violent outbreak of tornadoes in the south and Midwest.  That toddler found in a field after her entire family died, was taken off life support yesterday. The town of Henryville, Indiana, was ravaged, and the local high school was destroyed. 

It's a full day of campaign events before Super Tuesday as the Republicans chasing Mitt Romney try to find a way to slow his push for the nomination.  Romney won the Washington state caucuses.  Rick Santorum is trying to hold on to his lead in Ohio.  He and Romney are making several stops in the Buckeye state.  Newt Gingrich is in Tennessee today.  He's still the favorite in Georgia.  Ron Paul is in Idaho today.  Be listening for Super Tuesday results Tuesday starting at 7pm on WOKV. 

Expect to hear more from Rush Limbaugh at Noon today, following his apology to a law student he had branded a "slut" and prostitute.  The comments created an uproar with Democrats and Republicans critical of his remarks. Some advertisers are pulling ads from his program due to the controversy.  Limbaugh says he used the wrong words to make his point.

Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to outline the legal framework tomorrow, for the use of lethal force in targeted killings of Americans overseas. Holder plans to say that lethal force is legal under a congressional resolution enacted a week after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

We see hospitals and nursing homes facing the loss of 350 million in state funding in a budget deal by our state lawmakers.  They're working on a budget deal before this Friday's deadline to the regular session.  Governor Scott has been pushing even bigger reductions in hospital funding to pay for his planned boost in education spending.

Governor Scott will soon be given more control over money used to bring jobs to Florida.  House and Senate budget chiefs agreeing to give more control over more than 60-million dollars in economic development  incentives to the governor.  That money would go to companies that agree to expand or move to Florida.

We're now hearing from the Ponte Vedra man who was arrested for allegedly neglecting nearly 700 cats at the Caboodle Ranch in Madison County.  Craig Grant says he disagrees with PETA's claim that he operated a no-kill shelter that spiraled out of control.  The cats are now being cared for in Jacksonville and the ASPCA says it hopes to nurse as many back to health as possible so that they can be adopted into loving homes.

A new UNF study shows Duval County's jail population is increasing despite its crime rate decreasing.  Dr. Michael Hallett, the man behind the study, thinks he knows why.  He says the State Attorney's handling of non-violent offenders is going too far and creating a backlog in jails.  He suggests putting non-violent offenders into diversion programs.  State Attorney Angela Corey tells WOKV her office is pushing more cases to trial, essentially clearing a backlog of cases.

A plan to allow parents to trigger turnaround plans for failing schools through petitions is one step closer to becoming law.  The plan is now on its way to the Senate floor after clearing its last committee over the weekend.

President Obama apparently impressed Israel with his speech on Iran's nuclear program.  Israelis had been skeptical of the White House's commitment to stopping Iran's nuclear progress by any means, including military action.  But they called the speech an unprecedented show of support for Israel.

Vladimir Putin will be returning to the Kremlin and extending his hold on power in Russia for six more years.  Putin scored a decisive victory in Russia's presidential election.
