Our Top Local Story: We'll never get the answer to why Shane Schumerth killed Episocpal School head Dale Reagan and then killed himself. But his brother writes a lengthy story in the Times Union that explains the former teacher always struggled socially and suffered from deeply rooted depression, anxiety and paranoia. He says Shane Schumerth was not a violent person. He says no one in the family knew he had a weapon, or that he could use it.
The mother accused of selling her six-year-old daughter for sex in exchange for drugs is back in Jacksonville. 39-year-old Dalina Nicholas was arrested earlier this month in Columbus, Georgia. Three men -- ages 56, 51 and 47 -- are charged with capital sexual battery.
He's taking his talents to Jacksonville...that Tweet from the newest Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson. The Jaguars also signed quarterback Chad Henne, presumably to back up Blaine Gabbert.

They may look pretty but holiday lights in mid-March may be overduing it. Businesses in St. Augustine are being warned o turn off the lights, or face a 250 dollar fine every day. So far dozens of businesses have been warned.
Governor Scott says Florida is no longer the "Oxy Express." In his progress report in the state's year-long crackdown on pill mills, he notes that over a half-million pills are now off the streets. In the year-long crackdown, more than 2,000 people have been arrested, including 34 doctors.
Police need your help in finding six people who broke into a pair of Best Buy stores this week. Stores on the Northside near JIA and in Argyle on the Westside were burglarized within about an hour of one another. The crooks made off with tens of thousands of dollars in electronics, including computers, tablets and phones.

Afghan lawmakers are not happy that the American soldier accused of killing 16 civilians has been taken out of the country. The soldier, who remains unidentified, was flown to Kuwait last night.
Most women only need to have PAP smear tests every three years. A new clinical story finds as long as their prior test results are normal there is not a need to do a test every year. But they say women should be tested for the HPV virus which has been known to trigger cancer in some women.
