Rubio's endorsement

Previous Posts

By Rich Jones

Warm and sunny again today with temps in the mid-80's.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday feature rain and thunderstorm chances.  The best chance of rain is Saturday.  Temps are in the mid-80's all weekend.

Today's interview lineup:

At 6:53 hear Jamie Dupree explain why it's realistic to assume the Supreme Court could strike down some or all of ObamaCare.

At 7:19 hear Neal Boortz explain why Marco Rubio's endorsement should seal the deal for Mitt Romney.

At 8:23 hear Jamie Dupree explain what happens next in the Supreme Court's ObamaCare review.

Our Top Local Story:  New video of the night Trayvon Martin was killed in Sanford.  George Zimmerman is being led into the police station with no apparent visible signs he had been beaten.  Zimmerman's father claims his son was beaten by the teenager, and claims Martin said "you're gonna die".

Donning a hoodie and sunglasses, Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush draws attention to the Trayvon Martin case. The former Black Panther Party activist was admonished for breaking the rules of no hats on the House floor.  Rush said afterward an act of civil disobedience never felt so good.

With so many new details leaking out it's no wonder a poll by Rasmussen has 52% of Americans saying they're not sure if Zimmerman should be charged with murder. 33% believe ZImmerman should be guilty of murder, 15% think Zimmerman acted in self defense.

A Jacksonville corrections officer is fired for allegedly selling oxycodone while on duty.  Cops say 28-year-old James Mock sold 80 oxycodone pills for 16-hundred dollars to an undercover agent.  And he's also facing a third degree felony charge for possession of a controlled substance.

We're getting word of another hazing scandal coming to light at Florida A&M.  An investigation shows faculty members were present when pledges at a band fraternity were hazed at a professor's home in early 2010.  No charges will be filed since investigators can't prove that the hazing happened within a two-year statute of limitations.

No alcohol, no drugs and a single gunshot to the head. The autopsy results on the Episcopal School killer.  Shane Schumerth used an AK-47 to kill the school's head Dale Reagan.  He then shot himself in the head.

Governor Scott's approval rating is on its way down.  A Quinnipiac poll shows 52% disapprove of Scott's performance, while 36% approve.  Favorability and unfavorability for Democrats are evenly split at 45%  apiece.

His friends are painting a different picture of the Jet Blue pilot who went on a rant in the air and was taken down by passengers while screaming about terrorists, Jesus and September 11th.  Clayton Osbon, who lives near Savannah, Georgia, is under medical evaluation at a hospital.  He's charged with interfering with a flight crew.  Shortly after takeoff in New York Tuesday, Osbon allegedly told his co-pilot that things just don't matter and "we're not going to Vegas".

Our Top National Story:  Now we wait.  The Supreme Court heard six+ hours of arguments over ObamaCare this week.  There is no real concrete indication of where we are going.  The individual mandate could be struck down, even the whole law.  Just about everyone suspects the ruling to come in June.

Capitol Hill is again immersed in a big budget fight. House Republicans are set to push through a proposed election-year budget that will very likely die in the Senate. The $3.5 trillion GOP spending plan showcases the party's deficit-cutting priorities and its plan to revamp the Medicare program.

You Decide 2012:  Marco Rubio is endorsing Mitt Romney, saying Romney has earned the nomination.  Rubio tells Sean Hannity he's not interested in the job of Vice President.

Authorities battling a wildfire that has destroyed several homes near Denver over the past three days are searching for a missing woman. A search team used dogs to look for the woman, whose home was among 27 destroyed or damaged in the blaze. Rescue personnel earlier found the bodies of a couple in their 70's at their destroyed home.

Millions of reasons to drive north of the border and buy a lottery ticket.  No one matched last night's Mega Millions numbers.  The jackpot for tomorrow is 476 million dollars. Because Florida does not participate, you'll have to drive to Georgia if you want to buy a ticket.
