Smoke is still in the air from a re-ignited wildfire at the Duval/Nassau County line. Winds today should help keep the smoke out of Jacksonville. We have a 50-50 chance at rain and a thunderstorm this afternoon, tomorrow and Wednesday. Heather Zehr says Wednesday is our best chance of rain.
The forecast for The Players is shaping up nice. It should be dry starting Thursday with temps in the low 80's, which is average for early May.
The Players week kicks off today with a military job fair. This is the first time The Players has partnered with the city of Jacksonville to put on the job fair. It'll be held from 11am until 2pm today at the Stadium Course. There are several events dedicated to the military this week. All active and retired military get in free all week.

Our Top Local Story: A new chapter in the courthouse furniture fight. The issue is whether the city will spend another $750,000 on new furniture. We find city councilwoman Kimberly Daniels introducing a bill tomorrow that would appropriate the money for new furniture--something the Mayor's office is fighting--saying the existing furniture is in fine condition. The courthouse is expected to open this month.
A man is dead after crashing into a moving train. FHP says 28-year-old Beau Taylor slammed into the train at the crossing on Race Track Road near Phillips Highway. The crossing arms were down and flashing but FHP says for some reason, Taylor didn't stop. Two rail cars derailed. No one aboard the train was hurt.
An update to Friday's breaking news on the teenager who jumped from a moving school bus on Beach Blvd over the ICW. 16 year-old Jessie Herr is on life-support and his parents tell Channel 4 they're figuring out what to do after being told he's gone.
The last of the eleven members of the Florida A&M marching band charged with the hazing death of Robert Champion turns herself in. FDLE says 20-year-old Lasherry Codner surrendered to police in the Orange County jail.
Our Top National Story is You Decide 2012: Marco Rubio says the Obama of 2008 is gone. Rubio accuses the President of employing a divisive and cynical style that pits Americans against one another. On Fox News Sunday, Rubio would not confirm or deny the idea that he would join Mitt Romney's ticket.
Continuing coverage of You Decide 2012: It may be too little too late, but Ron Paul chalks up his first outright win of 2012. Paul won 23 of 24 delegate slots in Maine on Sunday. Paul's team also won 22 of the 25 delegate slots in Nevada. But the delegate fight is pretty complicated. Jamie Dupree makes sense of the numbers in his blog.
We'll be watching another spending showdown in Washington this week--House Republicans are pushing 300 million dollars in cuts to food aid, health care and social services. A vote is scheduled Thursday. The cuts would protect the Pentagon from a wave of budget cuts in January.

An elderly American humanitarian aid worker being held hostage by al-Qaeda says he'll be killed unless President Obama agrees to the militant group's demands. In a video posted on jihadist forums, 70-year-old Warren Wunsteen, who was kidnapped in Pakistan last August, appeals to Obama as a father, saying he hopes to resume spending time with his two daughters.
