Rain and storms are once again in our afternoon forecast today and through the weekend.  Temps are in the low 80's today and through the weekend.  There will be times of sun.

Today's interview lineup:

Our Top Local Story:  Documents, pictures and video released in the Trayvon Martin shooting death.  We find at least one police investigator pushing manslaughter charges for George Zimmerman. A detective told prosecutors that the fight between Zimmerman and Martin could have been avoided if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle. See the documents and new pictures of Zimmerman's injuries the night of the attack.

We're updating breaking news south of downtown Jacksonville.  A man who died in a car crash also suffered an injury that suggests an attack.  Police are searching for a second person who was in the car that crashed on Olevia Street, just off Phillips Highway, after Midnight.   The man who died had either a stab or bullet wound.  We do not have a description of the person police are looking for.

We'll see if Florida's steady improvement in unemployment is continuing this spring.  The April unemployment rate is released this morning.  In March, the state's unemployment rate was 9%--higher than the national average.  Florida no longer qualifies for extended federal unemployment compensation benefits because of the state's falling jobless rate.  The extended benefits were cut off this week.

New this morning--we're getting the first batch of scores on the new, more rigid FCAT test.  As we've been telling you all week the state board of education lowered the bar on the passing grade because the preliminary writing scores were so low.  With that emergency move, nearly 80 percent of students are expected to pass.

Two people connected to the hazing death of FAMU drum major Robert Champion are pleading no contest to lesser charges.  Aaron Golson and Sean Hobson were sentenced yesterday to 30 days in a work camp followed by 12 months of probation.
They had originally been charged with felony hazing.

A woman's vanity license plate is getting her in a bit of a bind. Carole Schroeder says she has received 135 parking tickets demanding a total of eight-thousand dollars.  The problem may lie in her personalized license plate -- it reads "NO TAGS."  So every time a parking enforcement officer is unable to enter a license plate number on the ticket, it comes back to Schroeder.  This comes as an outside collection agency sent out nearly 25-thousand letters demanding payment of overdue tickets.

In Jacksonville, Mitt Romney says he repudiates efforts by a super  PAC to put out negative ads against President Obama.  Romney says the president's campaign has been using character assassination to draw focus away from the election's real issues. He says he'd rather put out ads focusing on jobs and the economy.

The long-awaited transition from the old to the new Duval County Courthouse is underway today.  Movers begin the days long moving of boxes and paperwork.  Part of that move includes $750,000 in new furniture.  City council yesterday voted to override the Mayor's veto and authorized the purchase of new furniture for hearing rooms.

Our Top National Story:  FB.  That's the symbol on the Nasdaq today as the social network begins trading.  Facebook raised 16 billion dollars in its IPO, valuing the company at $104 billion.

The U.S. Postal Service says it can no longer wait for financial help from a deadlocked Congress.  The Postal Service is moving forward with a multibillion-dollar cost-cutting plan that will close nearly 250 mail processing centers.  It appears Jacksonville gains from consolidations in Gainesville and Waycross, Georgia.  See the plans at Jamie Dupree's blog

A showdown looms in the House over whether to end the indefinite detention without trial of terrorist suspects, even U.S. citizens seized within the nation's borders.  Democrats and tea party Republicans lobbied their colleagues furiously ahead of Friday's vote, arguing that indefinite detention gives the executive branch extraordinary power that violates the Constitution.

Cops in Mississippi have arrested a suspect in two fatal highway shootings that happened late at night along desolate stretches.   28-year-old James Willie will be charged with two counts of capital murder in the shootings.  Police say the suspect was not posing as a police officer in the shootings as authorities previously suspected.
