1.) We've got another sweltering one today with temps in the mid to upper 90's but the "real feel" exceeding 105. Like yesterday, the chance of an afternoon thunderstorm to cool us down is really small. We have a better chance at storms Friday, which are not likely to be severe. It's more refreshing for Father's Day weekend with temps in the upper 80's.
2.) A strong defense of the surveillance programs that have caused controversy. The NSA chief tells Senators that two programs made public last week have both protected you from terror attacks as well as preserved the constitutional rights of American citizens. Director Keith Alexander also promised to provide more details to Senators behind closed doors, as early as today. Hear Jamie Dupree explain when that will happen.

3.) The 10 year-old girl whose disease has captured our attention and tugged at our hearts is now on the road to recovery. Sarah Murnaghan suffers from severe cystic fibrosis and battled for an organ donation. She underwent a double lung transplant. Her family says doctors are pleased at her progress and prognosis. Family members say they're "thrilled" to share the news that Sarah was out of surgery.
