CLEMSON, S.C. -- Here's one reason to be excited about Georgia's defense this year.
Projections for Jordan Jenkins, Jarvis Jones' successor at outside linebacker, have always been optimistic. But on the eve of the No. 5 Bulldogs' season opener against No. 8 Clemson a clip of video from one of the Georgia's preseason scrimmages made its way to the Internet. Posted on the website SBNation.com, it shows Jenkins' literally leap-frogging over the head of running back Brendan Douglas as he tries to block him in Sanford Stadium. Douglas whips his head around to see as if to say, "where'd he go." Jenkins lands on his feet and pressures quarterback Christian LeMay, running a scout-team version of the Clemson offense, into an early pass, which is nearly intercepted by linebacker Amarlo Herrera.
Contacted about the video, which is clearly a UGA coaches' copy, the Bulldogs said they could not provide a version. So all we have is the above gif version posted by SBNation.
