Additional coronavirus testing sites starting up Wednesday in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, FL — More access to testing is coming to Jacksonville this week.

Starting Wednesday, three new drive-thru coronavirus testing sites are starting up in Jacksonville. We reported last week when the city was hoping to have additional testing sites up and running by this week.

The three sites will be in Arlington, the northside and the westside. Mayor Lenny Curry says the Arlington location will be at the Regency Square Mall, the northside location will be a First Coast High School and the westside location will be at Frank H. Peterson Academies.

  • Arlington – Regency Square Mall – 9501 Arlington Expressway Jacksonville, FL 32225.
  • Northside – First Coast High School 590 Duval Station Road Jacksonville, FL 32218.
  • Westside – Frank H. Peterson Academies 7450 Wilson Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32210.

Curry says the sites combined will be able to test an additional 3,750 people a day.

“When you factor in Lot J and the Legends Center, that’s almost 5,000 total tests available each day.” Curry says.

Curry says the new sites will be on board through July 15th and be open from 8AM until 6PM. You can register for an appointment at doineedacovid19test.com.

Additionally, the testing site at Lot J in downtown will be moving to the Regency Square Mall after July 15th. Curry says the testing will take place indoors and won’t be subject to bad weather.
