Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has not announced any charges following a crash involving one of its own early Sunday morning.
Investigators say an officer was sent to the hospital with chest pains after colliding with a car in the Avondale area at the intersection of Edgewood and Park. Police did not say who was at fault, but they did say there is a flashing yellow light at that intersection.

The other driver was treated at the scene by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, the officer was later released from the hospital.
