Jacksonville, Fl — Eligible residents in Clay County have multiple opportunities to get a COVID-19 vaccination. The county has open appointments open for Friday and into the beginning of next week.
Director of Emergency Management John Ward says they have a plan in place to make sure no doses go to waste.
“We’ve got a list of some of our constitutionals that fall under the Governor’s current executive order. We’ll call them, they’re about 10-15 minutes out and they can come get it”, said John Ward.
Supplies have been consistent in recent weeks, but as the first wave of 65 and older received their first and second round, more vaccines became available. Ward says the county is managing vaccinations for educators and law enforcement officers 50 and over at the County Fairgrounds Godbold building.
