Jacksonville, FL — The Clay County Sheriff's Office is launching a new senior citizens initiative, known as 'Sheriff's Silver Seniors.'
We're told the initiative is all about bringing the agency to senior citizens, which will involve sheriff's office members going to meet with seniors and spend time with them.
It will also involve a 'meet and greet' with Sheriff Darryl Daniels and give seniors the opportunity to speak with command staff members about community concerns or questions they may have.
Exact locations and dates haven't been released yet, but deputies say this program will involve trips to assisted living communities, rehabilitation facilities, and more.
The #SheriffsSilverSeniors program is another great initiative that we are excited to be working on: #CCSOFL pic.twitter.com/j6KwI5431N
