ORIGINAL STORY: Deputies in Clay County are searching for a man they believe has information about a crash in the Fleming Island area.
The Sheriff’s Office says it started as a DUI investigation and the driver of the car refused to stop. The driver who is believed to be Daniel Westbrook crashed his car and then took off. Two people were inside the car and were detained by deputies. The Sheriff’s Office says they were ultimately arrested for separate charges. Their names and charges have not been released.
Deputies are now currently searching for Westbrook. They say he does not have a license and possibly has a warrant from Marion County. He is not believed to be armed or dangerous and may be looking for a place to hide in the Green Cove Springs area.
