Cold front to bring drier days, below average temps

Jacksonville, Fl — A cold front that is pushing into Northeast Florida will trigger an isolated shower at times. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says the shower and storm threat pushes south of the Jacksonville metro area through the afternoon. Temps will be below average, in the low to mid-80s.

Expect onshore winds to develop by this afternoon with isolated showers at times. But overall, many spots will remain dry.

Buresh says overnight temperatures will fall into the upper 60s, much cooler than we’ve felt for months.

Thursday looks to be partly cloudy with a few scattered showers, especially from I-95 to the beaches. Temps once again be below average.

Friday through the weekend will be partly sunny with only a few showers and thunderstorms at times, but not a washout.

TROPICS: We are tracking a tropical wave about 900 miles east of the Lesser Antilles this morning. Some gradual development is possible over the next few days as it moves generally west.
