Jacksonville — The rain has moved through Northeast Florida Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, leaving wet roads on your way to work today.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says most of the heavy rain has moved off our coast setting us up for our coldest temps of the season so far tonight.
“We will be down into the 30’s near and west of Highway 301 tonight, and in the 30’s near and west of I-95 tomorrow night.” Mike says.
Mike says the cold front will continue though the day Thursday bringing with it some scattered lingering showers, but the front should clear by early evening. Mike says our temps should get into the upper 50’s to lower 60’s in Jacksonville Thursday with lows dipping into the 40’s tonight.

While you were sleeping WOKV brought you coverage on the tornado warning that was issued for St. Johns County early Thursday morning. The warning lasted from around 12:45AM to 1:15AM and Mike says the rotation started around World Golf Village and moved northeast until the storm moved off into the Atlantic. Mike says there were no damage reports initially when the storm passed, but there were reports of strong winds.
