Disco & Dinosaurs at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for Night at the Zoo

Jacksonville, Fl. — The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is inviting the public out to enjoy what they are calling a “groovy atmosphere,” as JZG kicks of the Night at the Zoo summer series.

Everyone is encouraged to beat the summer heat for the event that kicks off every Friday between June 22nd – August 10th from 6:30 – 10:30 pm.

This Friday’s theme is ‘Friday Night Fever.” Visitors can break out their bell-bottoms from the 70’s for a costume party. There will also be live music from the Boogie Freaks.

Upcoming themes include ZOOperstition, The Great Catsby, and Zoo Odyssey: 3000.

"It gives people a chance to enjoy the zoo a little bit longer and in a different light. The animals really enjoy it," says JJ Vitale, Public Relations of JZG."

All festivities during the series includes live music, food trucks, cash bars and seeing the animals on exhibit. Admission to Dinosauria will be included in this year’s Night at the Zoo tickets.

Tickets cannot be bought at the gate – they must be purchased online. Officials with JZG says only a limited amount of tickets are sold.

Tickets for members cost $7 per adult and $5 per child (3-12 years old).

Tickets for non-members cost $14 per adults and 12 per child (3-12 years old).

Kids 2 and under are free, but they still require a ticket.
