Caught on video: Woman who claims to have COVID-19 spits on employees at a Jacksonville Domino’s

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax has obtained surveillance video from an Arlington Domino’s that shows a woman spitting on employees through a drive-through window.

According to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office incident report, the woman fled the scene Monday night.

Action News Jax spoke with one of the employees, who said the woman claimed she had COVID-19 before spitting on them.

The employee said she also ran over his foot as he was trying to get her license plate number.

In the surveillance video, the woman, who was driving a gray Mitsubishi SUV, appeared to be shouting at three employees as she stuck her head through the window. Another woman in the SUV tried holding her back. That’s when the driver was seen spitting on the Domino’s employees.

“We’re all getting spat on,” Luis Feliciano recalled.

He says he then ran outside to get the woman’s license plate number. A video shows the license plate covered with what appears to be paper or duct tape.

“She tries to run me over, tries to run me over at least ten times, and then ends up running over my foot,” Feliciano added.

Video also shows the woman back into the other woman who had been in the SUV with her.

A JSO incident report shows the woman faces three battery charges and one charge for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson says spitting on someone is a felony offense.

“If you spit on someone, you are transferring potentially hazardous bodily fluids and that in the state of Florida is a felony,” Carson said.

While Feliciano doesn’t wish bad on the woman, he hopes she has a guilty conscience.

“Everything has a consequence, and it’s going to catch up to her sooner or later,” he said.

According to JSO’s crime map, there have been nine calls for service including five assaults within a one-mile radius of the Domino’s restaurant in the past week.
