FHP: Crash involving school bus injures 3 adults, 4 kids in Nassau County

Jacksonville, Fl. — The Florida Highway Patrol has not filed any charges after a woman rear-ended a school bus in Yulee on Monday afternoon.

According to the crash report, the 58-year-old driver was in a Ford F-150 with one passenger in the road. Both the woman and the school bus were driving south on Blackmon Road when the woman had a medical problem and blacked out.

She hit rear-ended the bus before the truck went out of control and drove off the road hitting two mailboxes, a fence and came to a rest in the bushes.

The driver and the passenger inside the Ford F-150 were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital but with minor injuries. The four children had reported minor injuries, but troopers say they were not taken to the hospital.
