Jacksonville, FL — Prepare to see construction firing up, if your commute brings you on the Fishweir Creek Bridge, on St. Johns Avenue near Herschel Street.
The Florida Department of Transportation says a $1.1 million rehabilitation project is now underway. It involves concrete repairs and corrosion protection improvements under the bridge.
During the morning and evening rush- 6AM to 9AM and 3PM to 7PM- everything will be open in that area. At other times, including over the weekends, there may be lane closures and construction.
The contractor has up to 250 days to complete the work.
