Four arrested in connection to murder investigation from July in Jacksonville

Jacksonville FL — Jacksonville Police announced late Monday four people have been arrested in connection to a July murder investigation in the Woodstock neighborhood on the westside. Police say Roosevelt Johnson and Ladorne Parker are both charged with murder. Johnson is also charged with tampering with evidence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while Parker is also charged with accessory after the fact.

We first reported in mid-July when JSO was called out to North McDuff Avenue near KIPP Jacksonville Elementary where a woman's body was found. Police have never publicly identified the victim or said how she died.

Two other people are also charged in connection to the investigation. JSO says Ronald Gilbert and Kari Pope are both charged with accessory after the fact.

JSO is still asking for information in the case, if you have anything you can call police at 904-630-0500 or email them at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
