Jacksonville’s Fourth of July fireworks will be set off at multiple locations this year so they can be viewed from around the city.
Here are the three big things you need to know about the fireworks celebration in Jacksonville this year:
1. There will be multiple locations: Having multiple sites will help with overcrowding, and social distancing. You’ll be able to see the show from Downtown Jacksonville, the St. Johns Town Center, FSCJ’s North Campus, The Avenues Mall, Normandy/Lem Merrett Park, and Ed Austin Regional Park.
2. Mayor Curry says the show will be bigger and better: Since the show won’t just be downtown, the City of Jacksonville plans on lighting fireworks throughout Jacksonville. The city’s sky will be lit up all across Duval and not just centered around the downtown area!
3. There won’t be fireworks at Jax Beach: While there will be a variety of places to see fireworks, Jax Beach won’t be one of them. Despite having more locations to choose from, it doesn’t necessarily mean these locations won’t be crowded. Prepare yourself for crowds and don’t forget your masks!
