Jacksonville, Fl — The heat comes roaring back this weekend. We’re going to feel some of the hottest temps we’ve felt in several weeks. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says we’ll see a little more storm action this afternoon.
“Some heavy downpours and frequent lightning, gusty winds, you know the drill. Keep an eye to the sky. Temperatures will top out close to 90 degrees, that feel-like temperature well into the 90s. And that sets us up for a hot weekend”, said Buresh.

We have had few 90 degree days since the middle of June because it has been so wet and overcast.
By early next week a wind shift to off the Atlantic Ocean will bring lower than average temperatures, in the upper 80s.
