Human remains found by man on Jacksonville’s northwest side

Jacksonville FL — Police are actively investigating after a man found human remains while clearing some land on Jacksonville’s Northwest side Thursday. JSO says the remains were found near Imeson and Pritchard Roads and they were in a plastic bag or tarp. Police say the remains appear to have been in the middle of the woods for a while.

The man who found them says he hit them and a skull rolled out.

JSO says the Medical Examiners office is on scene processing and recovering all the bones and remains to test them and hopefully have them identified.
