Jacksonville, FL — A school bus transporting students was involved in a crash this morning on CR 220 near College Drive near Doctors Lake. Florida Highway Patrol says no students on board the school bus were injured.
We’ve confirmed eight students were on the bus, along with the driver. The bus was enroute to St. Johns Country Day School, off Doctors Lake Road.
FHP says the driver of a car, Jonathan Cercy, rear-ended the bus on CR 220 as the bus had stopped at a railroad tracks.
Cercy was treated and released from Orange Park Medical Center.
According to the crash report, Cercy was charged with careless driving.
