Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry extending mask mandate for another 30 days

Jacksonville FL — On Tuesday, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry announced that he is extending the mask mandate in the city for another 30 days. The mandate will now be in place through November 26th. We reported in late June when the city first put the mandate in place.

The order says that anyone over the age of six, who is inside a public space, must wear a mask or face covering if they are not able to practice social distancing.

The order will cover all of Duval County including the beaches and Baldwin. Anyone with a disability that prevents them from wearing a mask or face covering is exempt from this order.
