Jacksonville police: Teen boy, teen girl injured in shooting

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Aggravated Battery unit is investigating after it said a teenage boy and teenage girl were shot in the Royal Terrace neighborhood.

Officers went to the 2100 block of Brooklyn Rd. around 1:15 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired.

They found two individuals with apparent gunshot wounds. One victim was a boy in his mid-teens and the other victim was a girl in her mid-teens.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took both the girl and boy to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police the shooters fired from an unknown year white Chevrolet Impala and drove away right after the shooting.
