The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says three of its firefighters are recovering, after sustaining minor injuries during a rollover crash on I-95 southbound at Emerson Street.
JFRD Chief Keith Powers says Engine 13 was responding to a call at the time of the crash.
"That accident resulted in Engine 13 rolling over more than one time. Thank gosh that we didn't have any firefighters ejected, you know, when that rolled over, because they were wearing their seatbelts," says Powers.
He says a person in the other vehicle involved in this crash also suffered minor injuries, but will be OK.
As for the original call these firefighters were responding to, Powers says another engine was dispatched to help.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
