JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Ponte Vedra Beach man was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 12, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
James Lott was arrested Thursday night after deputies investigated Lott for almost two weeks.
The victim’s mother told deputies about the suspected abuse on May 16 after her child came to her and mentioned that Lott took inappropriate pictures of them. The child also said that they didn’t want to go back to Lott’s house because of the activities Lott did to them and that it hurt.
When Lott was arrested, he admitted to the sexual acts with the victim. He told deputies that this occurred several times between January and May.
