JSO employee charged, accused of releasing warrant information

Jacksonville FL — On Tuesday, The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of an employee with the department. Undersheriff Pat Ivey says Arlisa Tarver, who was the executive assistant for the chief of patrol, was arrested and charged with disclosure of confidential criminal justice information which is a 3rd degree felony and offenses against users of computers and computer systems. Ivey says Tarver is accused of looking up warrant information for violent felons, including people wanted for murder, and then releasing that information to people who knew the suspects.

“If you put that in perspective, she is notifying individuals out there on the street that are wanted for murder, so if an officer comes into contact with them, lets say for running a stop sign, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to put that, its putting that officer in danger as the officer is approaching the car, that individual’s gonna think ‘hey they’re coming in contact with me because I’m wanted for murder’.” Undersheriff Ivey says.

Ivey says Tarver worked for JSO for seven years and this is the sixth JSO employee arrested so far this year. He says in 2019 there were three. Ivey says Tarver is currently suspended and will eventually be fired.

“With a trust violation such as this, we do not want her employed at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.” Undersheriff Ivey says.

Undersheriff Pat Ivey held a news conference today in reference to a recent arrest of a JSO employee. Executive Assistant Arlisa Tarver, a 7 year civilian employee with JSO, was arrested after it was learned she had been accessing sensitive information and then divulging the information to individuals outside of the agency.
