JSO looking into possible kidnapping in Baldwin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating what has been described as a possible kidnapping in Baldwin Friday morning.

Police believe the victim may be endangered.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of US 301 South around 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, witnesses told police that the victim was approached near the Red Roof Inn by two black male suspects armed with a bat.  The suspects were said to have struck the victim multiple times and then pulled into a dark colored Chevrolet Equinox that fled north on US 301.

Police are attempting to identify the victim to ascertain his safety, the potential suspects and the suspect’s vehicle.
