Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says one of their officers is recovering after being involved in a crash on the Westside.
According to JSO, the officer was traveling westbound on Wilson Boulevard, Wednesday afternoon, when another vehicle turned out of a shopping center, striking the officer's vehicle. Police say the officer's injuries are non-life threatening; the other driver wasn't hurt.
We're told the officer was on routine patrol at the time of the crash and was not responding to a call.
JSO's traffic homicide team is continuing to investigate, as per protocol.
