Jacksonville, FL — It's a new transportation option for Clay County residents.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has announced it's launching a new Clay Community Transportation Flex Route that it's calling the 'Magenta Line'.
JTA says the line is about connecting Keystone Heights and Gainesville in a flexible and affordable way with two round trips every weekday. Standards fares for this new line will be $1 per trip.
The 'Magenta Line' will leave the Keystone Heights Senior Center located at 125 Commercial Circle at 8 AM every week day and transport customers to the Rosa Parks RTS Downtown Transit Station located at 700 SE 3rd Street in Gainesville. The bus will then depart from Gainesville at 9:05 AM to return to Keystone Heights.
As for the afternoon service, the bus will leave Keystone Heights at 3 PM for Gainesville. A bus will leave from Gainesville to Keystone Heights at 4:05 PM.
JTA says reservations can be made Monday through Friday, from 6 AM-7 PM, by calling (904) 284-5977.
The 'Magenta Line' will begin service on Monday, August 12th.
