JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to a release by the Department of Justice, the FBI arrested 42-year-old Michael Ray King on November 18, 2021.
Now, King is pleading guilty to the charges of using the Internet to download and receive videos and pictures of the sexual assault of children.
Investigators seized his electronic devices from his home, including an external computer hard drive containing 250 images and 50 videos showing the abuse of children including sexual assault, bestiality, and bondage.
King is facing up to 20 years in federal prison, along with the possibility of a lifetime of supervised release.
He is currently awaiting his sentencing hearing to be scheduled.
However, he is being required to register as a sex offender and also forfeit computer media.
King’s arrest is part of the DOJ’s ongoing efforts of Project Safe Childhood to combat the abuse and the sexual exploitation of children.
According to the DOJ, King’s case has been investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by the U.S. state attorney’s office.
