Man accused of video voyeurism, filming woman in Publix deli near the St. Johns Town Center

Jacksonville, Fla. — A man is charged with video voyeurism after filming a woman without her knowledge inside a Publix at the St. Johns Town Center, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).

Police say a shopper witnessed Kinchen Britt approach a woman from behind in the deli area and begin recording her. The female victim called police after the witness told her what had occurred moments before.

The 27-year old suspect was quickly identified, officers said, because he was still on the Publix property performing lawn services when they arrived.

Britt was then transported to the Special Assault Office for an interview. Investigators said the suspect was arrested following a search of his phone, which was processed by JSO’s Computer Forensic Unit.

Britt is charged with one count of video voyeurism. His bond was set at $20,000.

Many of the details of Britt’s JSO report have been redacted, meaning the majority of the information has been obscured. Action News Jax has requested the unredacted report from JSO; this article will be updated as more information becomes available.
